Making Wild
A creative and playful day camp gathering inspiration from the ecology, aestethics, wonder, and materials of the outdoors. We will express our inner-makers through art, music, whittling, fire, and play.
Our days will be spent entirely outdoors—in fields and forests—exploring, playing, and making together. Campers will dive into hands-on nature-art projects and create music inspired by the natural world around them. Working side by side, we’ll collaborate, build skills, and form new connections with ourselves as makers and with one another. Time spent wandering, playing, honing our skills as naturalists, and developing a deeper appreciation for our landscape will be essential parts of our creative process.
Designed for rising 5th–7th graders, this NEW nature-based arts, music, and play program is a natural next step for campers who have loved Explorer’s Club and are ready for more depth and complexity (previous Explorer’s Club participation not required!). It’s also a great fit for any camper drawn to creative, collaborative, and place-based experiences, and who wants to spend their days immersed in the outdoors making and exploring.
